Kat, the founder/host of Lifestyle Connection, is a versatile multi-platform journalist whose experience is broad-based. After managing her personal brands along with managing/producing a lifestyle TV show, she was inspired to build a digital lifestyle blog.
Kat previously worked for the NBC/CW affiliates in Dayton, Ohio as the associate producer for the Miami Valley's only lifestyle/entertainment show "Living Dayton," as well as working as a promotions (topical) producer for 2NEWS. While at WDTN, Kat was a "jack of all trades," dabbling in everything from line producing, booking/coordinating segments, social media managing, helping supervise interns, to editing/producing videos under very tight deadlines.
Before that, she worked at News 12 Long Island in Woodbury, N.Y. She started out freelancing as a Production Assistant, which turned into full-time position. During her time there, she worked on special assignments with the Special Projects producer, including field producing the 2013 Suffolk State of the County live show, associate producing the live hour-long talk show "The Next Big One", as well as working as the Assistant to the Producer for Island Vote 2012, where she helped coordinate and book over 40 half hour local political debate shows airing on News 12 Interactive and was given the opportunity to interview N.Y. state senator Kirsten Gillibrand.
Kat has also worked as a food and arts reporter and social media manager of Spoleto Today in Charleston, S.C., home to The Post and Courier's extended Spoleto USA Festival coverage.
In social media, Kathleen successfully conducted several interviews and produced the official $1.6 million capital campaign internet-ready video for the Rosamond Gifford Zoo (Syracuse, N.Y.).
Kat got her start in media interning at both local and national TV stations, including CNN for its "CNN Heroes" program (New York City), WSYR-TV (Syracuse, N.Y.) and WFSB-TV (Hartford, C.T.).
In print, she's been published in The Post and Courier (Charleston, S.C.), Syracuse New Times (Syracuse, N.Y.) as well as The Post-Standard (Syracuse, N.Y.)
Kat has a deep passion for the arts and fosters that passion through singing, as well as taking in live theater/concert performances.

I'm looking to partner with lifestyle bloggers around the world to develop short (5-10 minute) segments using Google Hangout to be posted here as episodes for the show! Please email me a quick pitch of your segment idea (a blog post you worked on) with bullet point tips, any visuals to be used for the digital segment, etc.
